STANDARD AND CUSTOMIZED TEST STANDS

The Air Compressor Test Stand is for inspection and performance testing of air compressor and exhauster unit. It is used to test the air compressor module to ensure its functionality and sufficient coolants after servicing. Captured values for the test compressor are compared with the new compressors factory to verify condition. Various sensors at stipulated points capture data with different operation sequences of the tested air compressor. Supporting equipment like Governor Pressure Switches and Dryer Unit are also tested to justify correct settings and efficiency level. This system consists of a PLC and push buttons and indicator lights. The entire testing shall be controlled via the PLC and push buttons.

The preliminary basic test parameters for the Air Compressor Test Rig are as follows:
a) No Load Test
b) Leakeage Test
c) Temperature Test
d) Insulation Test
e) Volume Efficiency Test

In an automatic mode, the test is conducted by the computer and the desired datas are collected in certain intervals. While in the manual mode, operator has to do the operation by ON/OFF switch in the drive panel. Another control panel is provided to contol and monitor the performance parameters. It takes care of each activity associated with the testing like unloading test specimen from the vehicle, movement of test specimen to test bed, unloading it from the movement trolley to the test, loading it to the test bed. The universal test bed is used to mount different types of compressors, Air Reservoir/ Vacuum Tanks, Cooling Facility for water cooled compressors, Data acquisition and monitoring based on latest technology and on command report generation.
